Marian Batts-Turner, MSN, RN, CDE



Marian, an advanced practice nurse trained in clinical research, is a Research Associate in Medicine and Faculty Associate in Nursing at the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Schools of Medicine (SOM) & Nursing (SON) in Baltimore, MD. She is also a core faculty member of the Welch Center for Prevention, Epidemiology, and Clinical Research, a collaboration of the Johns Hopkins University Schools of Medicine and Public Health. Her primary field of research is in the area of nursing and community health worker interventions among people with diabetes. Marian is a newly elected member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators' (AADE) Board of Directors. She is CEO of Real Matters Consulting, LLC, a consulting firm which offers health and business management services.
