The glucose test sequence does not start after applying the blood sample.


CAUSE #1: Defective test strip.
ACTION: Repeat the test with a new WaveSense™ KeyNote™ Test Strip. If this does not work, call customer service.

CAUSE #2: Sample applied after meter times out and turns OFF.
ACTION: Repeat the test using a new WaveSense™ KeyNote™ Test Strip. Wait until you see the blood and test strip symbols on the display screen before you apply the blood sample.

CAUSE #3: Defective meter.
ACTION: Call customer service.

Troubleshooting

Meter does not enter the TEST Mode after inserting a WaveSense™ KeyNote™ Test Strip.  


CAUSE #1: The batteries have insufficient power.
ACTION: Replace the batteries, set time and date, and test.

CAUSE #2: The batteries are installed incorrectly or there are no batteries in the meter.
ACTION: Check that both batteries are installed correctly, with the positive (+) sign facing up towards you.

CAUSE #3: WaveSense™ KeyNote™ Test Strip has been inserted upside down, wrong end in, or incompletely inserted into the meter.
ACTION: Insert the WaveSense™ KeyNote™ Test Strip with the black side up and the contact bars of the test strip in the meter.

CAUSE #4: Defective meter or defective WaveSense™ KeyNote™ Test Strips.
ACTION: Call customer service.

CAUSE #5: Blood or foreign objects put into the WaveSense™ KeyNote™ Meter strip port.
ACTION: Call customer service.
